Ozark Figure Skating Club
Nestled deep in the Ozarks sits an extraordinary place, The Jones Center. The center is the creation of Bernice Jones who dreamed of a place where families and groups from throughout the region could come together to do those things which make this community a better place to live. The mission of the Jones Center is to "serve families, strengthen community, and glorify God."
The Joel Carver Ice Arena is the star of the Jones Center and it is the home of The Ozark Figure Skating Club (OFSC). OFSC was formed in 1997 by a group of enthusiastic skaters interested in promoting figure skating of all levels in Northwest Arkansas. Our goals are to improve and encourage the development of the individual in all forms of figure skating. In 1999, OFSC became a full member of US Figure Skating. The club is a non-profit organization run by a volunteer Board of Directors.
Our goals are to improve, advance and encourage the instruction, training and development of the individual in all forms of figure skating. When you join OFSC you can practice and receive instruction from your coach during OFSC ice time. You can also participate in shows, instructional seminars, and social events hosted by OFSC. You will also be able to test at US Figure Skating sponsored test sessions and compete at US Figure Skating sanctioned events. Please see our Membership page for more details.
If you are interested in beginner group lessons, the Arkansas Figure Skating Association operates a skating school at Jones Center.
